What’s new for the 2022 Subaru Legacy?

Subaru is Known for Its Unique Styling

The front makes it stand out from most cars with its large rectangular grille and trapezoidal lower intakes. They also have a tremendous sloping roofline that gives the car a nice sporty look. And it’s no wonder Subaru pulled these elements straight from their first car (the tiny 360) because they wanted to give the new Legacy a strong identity like other cars had at the time.

What’s more, even though this was one of the first Japanese cars to be mass-produced in America, Subaru managed to keep a low, sleek profile. To do this, they even invented a new type of car—the “crossover”—for SUVs with some car elements.

What about features?

At first, it seems like there aren’t many. But if you look closely, you can see that the Legacy is full of little touches that show Subaru’s attention to detail. For instance, they placed the side mirrors far out on the doors so you can see down the sides of your car when driving through Walkersville. And notice that all their windows are slightly curved at the top to give the body a sleeker look, but also for more surprising reasons: Subaru didn’t want people to feel like they were driving a truck in Frederick.

So, curved windows and a more car-like exterior were crucial to make it known this was something entirely new: an efficient, comfortable, everyday vehicle.
